Fluvanna County lies southeast of Charlottesville along the James and Rivanna Rivers. It is best known for Lake Monticello, a large lakeside community with boating, a golf course and its own amenities. Outside the lake, Palmyra and the surrounding countryside offer homes on larger lots and rural land. Fluvanna is a good fit for buyers who want more space or lake living within reach of Charlottesville.
